Welcome to the Ascot Beer Festival Website

The Berkshire South-East branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) are delighted to have been invited back for an 8th year to hold a beer festival at the prestigious Ascot Racecourse. After another successful beer festival in 2013 we continue to have a high standard to live up to.

What's on Offer

This year there will be over 240 different real ales to choose from.

As usual we will showcase local breweries from Berkshire and the surrounding counties, but in addition we are pleased to welcome the breweries of Derbyshire to feature on our Regional Bar.

We are also arranging a few Festival Special Beers to be brewed especially for the festival.

The Whitworth brewery from Shirley rode off with the 2013 Beer of the Festival crown thanks to their amazing “Sobriety Blonde”. But as they were from last year's Black Country regional bar, they will sadly not be back to defend their title. This leaves the field open for the rest!

For cider lovers, we will have thirty to choose from including local producers Mr Whitehead; Ciderniks; Salthill and Tutts Clump augmented by our favourites from the West Country... all served, we guarantee, without ice!

Looking for a particular favourite? Whilst we're putting together this year's list, you can check out last year's List of Beers and List of Ciders & Perries.

As well as our fabulous selection of drinks, the festival will also offer some top class flat racing and the chance to have a flutter if you fancy.

Opening Times

Entrance gates and bars will open at 11.00am on both days, with racing starting at approximately 2.00pm. Bars will close 30 minutes after the last race (expected to be approximately 6.00pm).

The Logistics

Tickets for the beer festival are on-sale now. See the Tickets page for details.

A voucher system will be in operation for all Beer Festival ales, perries and ciders. A single half pint voucher is priced at £1.75, with 6 half pint vouchers (i.e. 3 pints) being sold for £10.00, equivalent to £3.33 per pint.

Unused vouchers will be refunded by the racecourse for a limited time directly after the bars close or you can choose to post the vouchers in a charity donations box situated at the voucher sales point.

Free Tasting Notes and polycarbonate glasses will be provided, but it will also be possible to purchase a limited edition commemorative oversized pint glass for £4.50.

A full programme of racing will be taking place whilst the festival is on. All normal race-day facilities will therefore be available at the racecourse, including hot & cold food and soft drinks.. Customers are welcome to bring a picnic and the rules governing this can be found at Ascot Racecourse Picnic Policy page.

There is parking available at Ascot Racecourse, and it is just 7 minutes walk from Ascot Railway Station. See the Ascot Racecourse Directions Page for more details.
